Nxh4 Qxh4+ 4. g3 Qxg3 mate! Or else lose Queen.	_____	4B0082 1. ... Rab8 2. Be4 Rxb2 skewers the Queen which must move and the bishop on d2 drops. if 2. b4 Nxa3 3. bxa5 Nxc2 4. Rxc2 Rxb7 wins a pawn and a better position. if 3. Qb3 Rxb7 wins the bishop because of the pin on the pawn. Are there other defenses for white?
4B0083 1. ... Rf5! and now the knight is lost .... If 2. Rxh6 Rxg5+ and 3. ... gxh6 If 2. Nh3 Rg6+ and now either allow Ng5 or 3. Kh4 Nf3 mate. If instead 2. Ne4 Rg6+ 3. Kh4 Nf3+ 4. Kh3 Rh5 mate. 4B0085 It is hard to imagine white in a more helpless situation. 1. ... Rc1! and now 2. Rc1 (either rook) loses to Rxc1 3. Rxc1 Rg1+ with a skewer. If instead 2. d6 Rc2 (threatening Rg1 mate) 3. Kf1 Rcf2+ 4. Ke1 Rg1 mate But is there anything wrong with 1. ... Rf8 2. ... Rf2 and 3. ... Rg1 mate?	_____	4B0086 1. ... Qxa2! wins. Now if either piece takes the Queen then 2. ... Re1+ forces mate. So what does white do? His rook on a1 and Queen on d2 are threatened. So he must protect both of them. i.e. 2. Rd1 loses to Qxd2! Instead 2. Qd1 Qxa1 wins! because of the threat of 3. Qxa1 Re1+ 4. Qxe1 Rxe1 mate.
4B0087 1. ... Rd3 threatening 2. Rc2 winning the Bishop. The only defense is 2. Kf1 Rc2 3. Ke1 (or Ke2) Rxd2 4. Rxd2 Rxd2 with a won endgame. Sometimes it helps to force a trade of material, even if you have to give up some of it, to reach an easily won endgame. The outside passed pawn will the clencher for black.	_____	4B0300 1. ...
